CHICAGO, IL - On the afternoon of December 16th, 2023, over 120 attendees, consisting of PanHellenic Alumni, PanHellenic Young Leaders, industry leading mentors, and young professionals, participated in the 2023 Winter Mentorship Luncheon.
Sponsored by the Hellenic Foundation Grant Award, this event provided an intimate setting for participants to receive career advice and guidance from 13 mentors who are leaders in their fields – ranging from business, law, medicine, finance, international relations, and more.
A panel discussion followed, where participants heard from select mentors representing various industries. The Winter Mentorship Luncheon panelists were: Dr. George Bovis, Neurosurgeon and Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at Rush University Medical School; Ms. Georgia Tasiopoulou, Consul of Greece in Chicago; Judge Tony Kyriakopoulos, Judge of the Circuit Court of Cook County IL, Chancery Division; and Dr. William Parkinson, Associate Director of Research and Curator of Anthropology at the Field Museum of Natural History and Professor of Anthropology at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
The event concluded with an address from the Chairman of the Foundation, Mr. Robert Buhler, where he announced that the Foundation will be offering a wide variety of events, opportunities, and internships for our Scholarship Alumni and PanHellenic Young Leaders. Our PanHellenic Young Leaders program allows students and young professionals of Hellenic descent that have not received a scholarship to have access to the Foundation’s events, mentors, and network of resources.
All young adults that have not received the PanHellenic Scholarship are encouraged to apply to PanHellenic Young Leaders!
